THE ANCHOR TRUTH

We don't limit you because of your limitations.

Doing for someone what they could learn to do themselves is how the system keeps disabled adults dependent for life. We build relationships first, then real responsibility, and we set goals with our clients and their guardians together, never for them.

Three ways we walk with your loved one

Every plan starts with a conversation about what matters to your loved one, not one-size-fits-all.

Residential Care & Host Homes

A home where they fit and a family where they belong, matched by fit and never assigned to a slot.

Day Programs & Community Support

Real days in the real community, building skills where life actually happens.

Life Skills & Training

Challenge and real responsibility, the way independence is actually built.

Real families. Real days. Real belonging.

What community actually looks like here, shared with permission from the families who live it.

It starts with a meet-and-greet, not paperwork

We listen to every perspective, including yours.

1

Come meet us, the human first

A relaxed meet-and-greet. No paperwork, no pressure, no commitment.

2

Assess and set goals together

An independence assessment and goals set with you and your loved one, never for them.

3

Tour two to three homes

See the options and choose the fit, then we coordinate admission with your CCB.

What thriving looks like here

Shared with permission, straight from the families and providers who live it.

Brighter Horizon has given our son the opportunity to live independently while still having the support he needs. His host home provider has become like family to all of us, and we have seen tremendous growth in his confidence and skills.

A parent and guardian

The community program has opened up a whole new world for my daughter. She has made friends and looks forward to her community outings every week.

M.R., mother and guardian

As a host home provider with Brighter Horizon for over ten years, I have received exceptional support and training. The team truly cares about the people we serve and the providers who walk with them.

His host home provider has become like family to all of us. He fits, he belongs, and we finally stopped worrying every single day.

The J. Family, guardians

When we were looking for services for my brother, Brighter Horizon listened to every perspective, including ours. They set real goals with him, not for him.

The people behind every plan

A small, steady team, not a rotating cast of strangers. Low turnover means the person your family meets is the person who stays.

Waivers, CCBs, admission. In plain English.

The system is a maze. You should not have to decode it alone. We will walk you through every step in plain language, with no funding promises, just honest guidance.

What families ask us first

Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Denver metro, through the Medicaid disability waiver or private pay. Families usually connect with us through a Community Centered Board, a high-school transition, or a referral from another family.

Most agencies do everything for the people they serve, which keeps them dependent. We build relationships first, then challenge our clients with real responsibility and goals set together with the client and guardian. We don’t limit anyone because of their limitations.

Safety while building independence is a core promise, not an afterthought. Community access always comes with the support and structure to do it safely.

Yes, as partners. You know your loved one best. Goals are set with the client and the guardian together, personalized and never cookie-cutter.

With a meet-and-greet. We start with the human, not the paperwork, then walk you through the assessment, host-home tours, and the CCB admission process in plain language.

They're not a number here. They're family.

Start with a conversation. We will walk it with you, toward real independence.
