What services does Brighter Horizon provide in Colorado?
We provide residential services including host homes, day programs, life skills training, case management, family caregiver support and community rehabilitation, for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Colorado.
How are services funded?
Services are delivered through the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Developmental Disabilities waiver. Your Community Centered Board can explain which waiver a person is enrolled in and what it covers. We can walk you through the process, though eligibility is decided by the CCB and the state.
What is a host home?
A host home is a private household where a trained provider supports one or two adults as part of their family life. It is matched on compatibility, routine and shared interests, not just availability.
Which areas do you serve?
We are based in Aurora and support individuals across the Denver metro and Colorado more widely, including Denver, Lakewood and Centennial.
